Precision Nutrient Delivery. Engineered and Installed by Licensed Plumbers
Montana Plumbing Company designs, installs, and services fertigation systems for commercial indoor grow facilities, greenhouses, and controlled environment agriculture operations. We bring licensed master plumber expertise to a side of grow infrastructure that is often underbuilt — the plumbing backbone that every fertigation system depends on.
Fertigation in a grow facility is fundamentally different from landscape irrigation. You’re injecting nutrients, pH adjusters, and additives into water at precise ratios across multiple feed zones, often on automated schedules, with EC and pH targets that have to hold tight across every run. Getting the plumbing wrong means inconsistent delivery, cross-contamination risk, backflow into your water source, or total crop loss. We build these systems to perform — and to pass inspection.
What We Design and Install

Injector Systems We size and install chemical injection equipment appropriate to your facility scale — from single-head Dosatron or Chemilizer proportioners for smaller ops, to multi-channel peristaltic pump arrays and venturi injector manifolds for larger facilities running simultaneous nutrient programs across multiple rooms or benches. We spec injectors based on your flow rates, line pressure, and the number of concentrate tanks you’re running.
Supply and Distribution Plumbing We rough in and finish the supply-side plumbing that feeds your fertigation system: main supply lines, zone valving, pressure regulation, and filtration. Whether you’re running drip-to-waste, recirculating hydroponics (NFT, RDWC, flood-and-drain), or top-feed with collection, we configure the supply plumbing to match your grow method.
Backflow Prevention This is non-negotiable and legally required. Any facility injecting fertilizers, pH acids, or chemical additives into a water system connected to a municipal supply or shared well must have properly rated and tested backflow prevention installed. We install reduced pressure zone (RPZ) assemblies and pressure vacuum breakers (PVB) appropriate to the hazard classification of your inputs, and we can coordinate annual test certification.
Feed Zone Manifolds and Zone Isolation Large facilities with multiple rooms, tables, or crop types need the ability to run different nutrient programs to different zones simultaneously or independently. We design and install manifold systems with zone-specific valving and injection points that give you that flexibility without cross-contamination between programs.
Drain and Recirculation Infrastructure For recirculating systems, we plumb the return side — collection drains, reservoir plumbing, pump installations, and return line routing. We understand the need to slope drain lines properly, eliminate dead legs where pathogens can harbor, and design for cleanout access.
Filtration We install sediment pre-filtration, carbon filtration where chlorine or chloramine removal is needed before your reservoir, and UV sterilization on recirculating systems where pathogen load is a concern.
Our technicians are experienced with plumbing and irrigation systems, and ensure your fertigation setup is installed correctly and safely.

Why It Matters Who Installs Your Fertigation Plumbing
Most fertigation equipment vendors sell you the injector. They don’t pull the permit, rough in the supply lines, install backflow protection, or warrant the plumbing. That’s where facilities end up with systems that work on paper and fail in practice — pressure fluctuations that throw off injection ratios, undersized supply lines that starve injectors at peak demand, or backflow assemblies that were never installed at all.
Montana Plumbing Company is licensed, bonded, and insured for commercial plumbing work in Montana. We pull permits, we meet code, and we build systems designed to run continuously under production conditions.
